Carol R. Smith

Carol R. Smith, age 75, of Plano, IL, formerly of Macomb, IL, passed away at her home on Monday, December 20, 2021.  She was born on April 29, 1946 in Fond du Lac, WI the daughter of Raymond and Ruth (Burgess) Frisque.
Carol was united in marriage on August 20, 1966 to Gene Smith, and they spent the next 55 years happily together.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Macomb, IL.  Carol taught for many years in the Industry (IL) School District, and Colchester (IL) School District.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Smith of Plano, IL; her children, Jennifer (Eric) Hawker of Yorkville, IL, Todd Smith of Des Moines, IA, and David (Miranda) Smith of Plano, IL; and her grandchildren, Elliot, Owen and Olivia Smith, Emily Hawker, and Afton and Xavier Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ruth Frisque; and her brothers, David Frisque and Richard Frisque.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Macomb, IL at a later date.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Macomb, the Alzheimer’s Association, or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
