Carol Ann (Bird) Guerrero, 83, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, April 22, 2024. A visitation will be held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. A funeral service will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Czech National Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Carol was born May 12, 1940, the daughter of Clarence and Virginia (Morek) Bird. She was in the first graduating class at Jefferson High School in 1958. Carol’s professional journey included roles at College Community Schools and Kwik Way before her retirement. She cherished her role as a volunteer grandparent at local elementary schools.

Survivors include her son, Jeff (Christina) Bird; granddaughter, Jennifer Greve; great-granddaughter, Gracie; sister, Mary (Richard) Drahos; nieces and nephews, Deanna (David) Brewer and family, Chris (Amee) Drahos and family, Star (George) Horak and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Virginia Bird; and sisters, Donna Mae Bird and Marilyn Meek.
