Carl Wesley Jacobs, Jr.

Carl Wesley Jacobs, Jr., 58, of Springfield, died at 11:40 am, Sunday, January 29, 2023 at his home. He was born November 11, 1964 in Springfield to Carl Wesley and Karen Sue (Davis) Jacobs, Sr.

Survivors include one daughter, Carly (Austin Chapman) Jacobs of Springfield; one son, Nathan Shepherd of Springfield; one grandson, Soren Angelo Shepherd; mother, Karen Jacobs of Springfield; one sister, Wendy (Bob Black) of Springfield; two brothers, Phillip (Veronica) Davis of Schaumburg and Donald (Cheri) Jacobs of Auburn and several nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father and one cousin, Johnny Jacobs.

Carl was a talented painter and guitarist. He enjoyed photography and being with his family and friends.

He was employed at Lowe’s.

Family hosted Memorial Gathering: 10-11:30 am, Friday February 10, 2023 at West Side Christian Church.

Family hosted Celebration of Life: 11:30 am, February 10, 2023 at West Side Christian Church with Pastor Cindy Lash officiating.
