Carl E. Roth

Carl E. Roth, 70, of New Philadelphia, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 in his home while surrounded by his loving family, following a period of declining health.
Born in Dennison, he was the son of the late Edwin and Anna Mae (Rose) Roth and had worked for Manatron at Canton as a Senior Programming Analyst. Carl was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Uhrichsville and an avid coin collector and member of the Tuscarawas County Coin Club. He also loved playing bridge, tennis and going fishing.
Carl is survived by his wife, Cornelia A. “Connie” (Gruitza) Roth, of the residence; his two daughters, Stacy (Thomas) Baker of Columbus and Stephanie Roth and her fiancé, Jason Myers of North Canton; his niece, Rachel Bollon and James Clark of Massillon; his sister, Louise (Frank) Cleveland of Dennison; his grandsons, Brandon Roth and Bri Bentler of Columbus, Josh Oddi and Claire Coker of Columbus; his granddaughter, Mya Roth of North Canton; his great-granddaughter, Chloe Roth of Zanesville and his great-nephew, Chandler Bollon of Massillon.
In addition to his parents, a brother, Linn Roth, also preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 5 to 7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kory Rowland officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to either the First United Methodist Church, 225 North Dawson Street, PO Box 426, Uhrichsville, Ohio 44683, or, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Buckeye Chapter, 6155 Rockside Road, Suite 202, Independence, Ohio 44131
