Brother Clarence Monroe Wilson

Brother Clarence Monroe Wilson, 88, of Stephenville passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Services will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Lipan, Texas. Visitation is at 1:00 pm and services will be held at 2:00 pm. Burial will be immediately afterwards at Bishop Cemetery.

 

Clarence was born in Watts Oklahoma on April 16, 1933, to Fred and Mildred Wilson. He married Leona Marchbanks on November 19, 1955. Clarence attended college at Howard Payne University where he received his Degree in Secondary Education in 1969.

 

Clarence taught school and coached at Carbon Texas. He was an accomplished mechanic and carpenter. He pastored churches in the area including Stephenville, Lingleville, Duffau, and Gorman.

 

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Fred, and Mildred Wilson, two brothers Elmer Wilson and Roger Wilson and two younger sisters.

 

Survivors include wife, Leona Wilson of Stephenville, Texas; two children, Lowell Wilson and wife, Sophie, of Stephenville, Texas, Cynthia Moore and husband, Kenny, of Gatesville, Texas; five grandchildren, one brother; and two sisters.
