Bobby R. Smith

Mr. Bobby R. Smith, age 91, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, October 09, 2021 at Sunnybrook Assisted Living in Hendersonville.  The son of the late Charles and Cora Woodard Smith, he was born in Cullman, Alabama on February 13, 1930.

Bobby, who enjoyed traveling the world playing golf, was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Christine Smith; one daughter, Susan Unruh of Hobe Sound, Florida; one son, Brantley Smith and his wife, Jacqueline of Tallahassee, Florida; and nine grandchildren, Jared Smith, Mason Erwin, Savannah Unruh, Ben Crowe, Emily Unruh, Caleb Smith, Louden Smith, Chaelee Crowe and Lindsay Smith.

A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held at Champion Hills Country Club at a later date and will be announced once it has been confirmed.
