Billy Joe Sledge

Billy Joe Sledge, 85, passed away on Wednesday; June 16, 2021 at his home in Granbury.

He was born June 21, 1935 to Cal and Cindy Nelson Sledge. Billy Joe “Bill” was born at home in Fall Creek, Texas where he was raised and attended school. He was the last of nine children. Bill was a faithful employee of Bond Feed Store for over 40 years, until they closed the business.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Rhonda Jo Schuff and a granddaughter, Misty Rodriguez.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Janyce Sledge; daughters, Tonya Vasquez and husband Manuel and Sharla Everette and husband Creg; son-in-law, Joe Schuff; step-children, Charlie Bradberry, Amy Miller, David Bradberry, and Paul Bradberry; grandchildren, Devon, Colt, Wyatt, Willie Earl, Dayton, Jessi; and great-grandchildren.

A Gathering of Remembrance for family and friends will be held at a later date at Fall Creek Cemetery under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury.
