Bill Creasman

William Lloyd “Bill” Creasman, 82, of Mills River, went home to be with our Lord on Friday, October 22.
He was considered a hero of the faith by many for his service to His Savior.

Bill was a devout Christian, saved on March 29, 1959 at Berea Baptist Church.

He spent much of his life traveling and singing Southern Gospel Music, with The Camp Family and Davis Brothers, the Soul Winners, the Howard Singers, the youth choir at Words of Life Tabernacle, and the Creasmans.

A master tool and die maker by trade, he worked at Robotyper, Barclay Machine Shop, Industrial Precision, and Asheville Industries-a division of Newport News Shipbuilding.
He was a tour bus driver for most of the years of his retirement and logged (by his own calculations) well over 2 million miles behind the wheel of a motor coach-driving for Runion Tours and WNC Travels.

He was a beloved member of Fletcher First Baptist Church.

A native and lifelong resident of Mills River, Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and May Belle Case Creasman; his sister Joyce Camp; and his granddaughter Carly Carter.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Freida Camp Creasman, his daughters Debbie Cannada and Misty Carter, grandsons Tres Cannada and his wife Courtney, and Billy Cannada and his wife Shannon, and 12 great-grandchildren: Emeri, Ethan, Nevaeh, Elliot, Kamiya, Christopher, JP, Mikayla, William, Penny, Charlie, and Wade.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 25 at Fletcher First Baptist Church from 6:00-8:30 pm.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 26 at 2:00 pm at Fletcher First Baptist Church with the Reverends Roy Waldroup, Carl Bishop, Gunne Davis, and Norman Cannada officiating. A graveside service will follow at Words of Life Tabernacle cemetery.

The family-out of an abundance of caution has requested that all friends and loved ones who attend the visitation or funeral please wear masks to protect their neighbor.
