Bethel J. Rinderknecht, 91, of Marion, Iowa, passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, at the Village Ridge Assisted Living in Marion. Funeral Service: 1 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 915 27th St., Marion, Iowa. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Bethel was born Dec. 30, 1931, the daughter of Louis and Ruby (Scheel) Burmeister in Keystone, Iowa. She was married to Albert Rinderknecht at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. Bethel was a homemaker who took great pride in devoting herself to her family and home. Throughout the years, she enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, and traveling. Most importantly, she loved spending time with family. Bethel will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Survivors include her three children, Doug Rinderknecht of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Tracy (Tim) Robinson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Brad (LeeAnn) Rinderknecht of Katy, Texas; nine grandchildren, Sean, Taylor, Bethany, Jack, Katie, Ava, Sydney, Ashley and Cole; siblings, Joan DeCoster of Penn Valley, Calif., Shirley Milota of Marion, Iowa, and Diane (Boyd) Severson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Jackie Burmeister of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and many loving extended nieces, nephews and family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Albert “Al” Rinderknecht; and three siblings, Belva Coffey, Wayne Burmeister and Ron Burmeister.
