Bertie L. Siebert

Bertie L. Siebert, 88, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Concordia Village. She was born September 29, 1932, in Springfield, the daughter of Russell and Rieka (Speck) Owens. She married Frank W. Siebert on December 23, 1951 and he preceded her in death on November 22, 2015.

Also preceding her in death are her parents, and two brothers, Donald and Bryce Owens.

Survivors include three children: Gayle (Steve) Gonzalez, Philip (Kelly) Siebert and Jill (Kevin) Guinan, all of Springfield; six grandsons: Grant (Erin) Gonzalez, Gregg (Paige) Gonzalez, Blake (Sara) Siebert, Mathew (Shania) Siebert, Michael Guinan, and Alex Guinan; two great-grandchildren: Avery and Kysen Gonzalez, with one on the way; one brother, Ross Owens of Rochester; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bertie was a lifelong resident of Springfield. She was the CFO of Siebert Podiatry, retiring in 2003. She also worked as a seamstress at Nancy’s Closet.

She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, and Bertie enjoyed playing bridge, knitting, sewing, beading, and was an avid bowler.

Memorial Gathering: 8 – 9 am, Friday, September 17, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Memorial Service: 9 am, Friday, September 17, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Chaplain Jeff Harter officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Benevolent Fund at Concordia Village.
