Barbara E. Brod, nee McCormac, age 73, of Hoffman Estates. Beloved wife of the late David J. Brod. Devoted mother to Douglas (Valeri) Brod, and Lori (Anthony) Seaman. Cherished grandmother to Madeline, Cormac, Samuel, and Veronica. Dear friend to many. Barb was a devoted nurse for many years. She loved Christmas time and baking for her family and friends. We will miss her but can all take comfort knowing she is back with her best dance partner, David, up in Heaven. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 5, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy. Palatine IL from 3:00-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home, Wednesday October 6, at 11:00am. Interment to follow at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery.
