Archie Cook

Archie Cook Sr., 73,  of Hendersonville, NC departed this life on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022. He was born on May 3rd, 1948 to the late William and Ada Cook in Bessemer, Alabama. He graduated from Brighton High School and Lawson State College before enrolling in the Marine Corps in 1967. Grilling was one of Archie’s favorite things to do. Whenever the weather was warm, you could find him outside cooking for his family. His bright smile and boisterous laughter were just as tender as his barbeque ribs, and his memory will remain in the hearts and minds of his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving granddaughter, Danize Cook.

Archie leaves to cherish his legacy his wife Eva Smith Cook; his children, Daniel Allen of Birmingham, AL, Danielle Cook of Charlotte, NC, Erica Cook of Hendersonville, NC, and Dr. Archie (Allyson) Cook Jr. of Cary, NC; his grandchildren, Daniel (Olivia) Allen Jr., Darius Allen, Dorian Allen, Corey Cook, Cameron (Da’Les) Hill, Tameron Hill, and London Cook; his great-grandchildren, Deonna Cook, Donovan Allen, Devin Allen, Corey Cook Jr., and Myla Hill; his siblings, Tina Hawkins of Chicago, IL, and Diann Kennedy, William Cook, Harry Cook, and Johnny (Stephanie) Cook of Bessemer, AL.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
