Anna Paramore

Anna Paramore, 96, of Mansfield, died Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Mansfield Memorial Homes. Born January 30, 1925 in Plymouth, Ohio, she was the daughter of Encil and Mabel Garrett.

 

Anna worked at W.T. Grant Company for several years and received her Real Estate license in the early 70’s. In 1977 Anna and her husband, “Ray” started spending their winters in Harlingen, Texas. They enjoyed staying every winter there for over 30 years. Anna was well known for her expert card playing and joined card groups. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed giving her baked goods to her friends and family. Most of all she was proud of her family and bragged about them all of the time. She enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. She was an excellent seamstress, involved in Cub Scouts and PTA, and a tutor at Madison South.

 

She is survived by five children, Barbara (Karl) Fisher of Brunswick, Ohio, Raymond (Kathy) Paramore Jr. of Lexington, Ohio, Gary (Sheila) Paramore of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Cynthia (Harry) Donoho of Grove City, Ohio, and Bryan Paramore of Mansfield; nine grandchildren, Mark Reed, Derek Reed, Terri Vidmar, Dawn Warner, Tracy Paramore, Michael Paramore, Amy Chancey, David Bugg and Daniel Bugg; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Raymond “Ray” Paramore; seven sisters, Helen Remmy, Evelyn Poole, Betty Lillo, Alice “Jeanie” Kepple, Isabel Burley, Rose Meyer, and Dorothy Perry; and three brothers, Elmer Garrett, John Garrett, and Tom Garrett.

 

Friends may call between 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor George Reece. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mansfield Memorial Homes. Following the service, there will be a luncheon for family and friends at the Mansfield Elks Lodge, 499 Park Avenue West at the corner of Sherman.
