Anna May Bilyeu

Anna May Bilyeu, 95, of Curran, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital. She was born December 31, 1925, in Springfield, the daughter of Roy and Ollie Flowers Harney. She married Rodger D. Bilyeu May 29, 1948 and he preceded her in death March 30, 1998.
Anna was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Bilyeu; one brother, Eddie Harney; and two sisters, Marie Harney and Dorothy Cloyd.
Survivors include one daughter, Lu Ann Lowe of Springfield; one son, Randy Bilyeu of New Berlin; two grandchildren, Joshua (Samara) and Daulton McDaniel; two sisters, Linda Harney and Mary Bilyeu; four brothers, John (Judy), Jim (Linda), Bill (Irene), and Gene (Carol) Harney; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Anna lived in Curran all of her life. She was of the Methodist faith. She worked as an office administrator for Horace Mann.
Anna truly enjoyed watching and cheering on her Chicago “Cubbies”. She loved to read. Anna adored her beloved grandchildren. Anna always had a great time going on road trips with her sisters, making many memories.
Visitation: 10 – 11 am, Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Darrin Thurman officiating. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
