Ann M. Reid

Ann M. Reid, age 94, of Yorkville, IL passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born on September 5, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of Patrick and Lucille (Nickel) Reid.

Ann was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL. She was employed for many years as a teacher and principle. Ann also edited school books. She was a former nun for 25 years with the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament. Ann was honored to have known the founder of the order, St. Katharine Drexel.

She is survived by her sister, Patricia Roberts of Carrollton, GA; her sister-in-law, Ruth Reid of Clearwater, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Also deeply mourned by The Fech and Smith families with whom she lived with for half her life. We love you Auntie!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Lucille Reid; her sisters, Katherine Harrison and Margaret Brewster; her brother, Edward Reid; sister-in-law, Lois Reid; her brothers-in-law, Norman Roberts, Richard Brewster, and Howard Harrison; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
