Alice M. “Toy” Riecks
Alice M. “Toy” Riecks, 93, of Auburn, died at 10:53 am, Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born February 1, 1929, in Springfield,
to Harry D. and Ina M. (Smith) Richards. She married Paul Henry Riecks on May 21, 1949 and he preceded her in death on February 13, 1997.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Ann (Howard) Bowen and Susan Dorothea Riecks, both of Auburn; two grandchildren, Aimee Marie (Ben) Pritchard of Pleasant
Plains and Kristopher Allen (Robyn) Bowen of Auburn; six great grandchildren of heart and blood, Grace, Zach, Kali, Ashley, Blake, and Ben; one great-great
granddaughter, Paisley; one brother, Harry Donald “Don” Richards of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and one sister, Ruby Laurenzana.
Alice retired in 1989 from the State of Illinois Department of Revenue where she worked as a clerk for twenty years.
Visitation: 10:30 – 11:30 am, Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Pastor Don Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to PAWS in Jacksonville.
