Lynda Monroe Heath, 67, devoted educator for 44 years, of Williamsburg, Va. passed away on February 11, 2022 with her husband and her two children by her side.

She was a classroom teacher with the WJCC Schools for 36 years at Berkeley, D.J. Montague, and Matoaka where she faithfully served her students and their families. She was the heartbeat of her family and responsible for the hospitality of almost every family event. An extraordinary and beautiful woman with a vibrant and strong Christian faith which gave her the strength to be the loving one who was always available to family, friends, students, coworkers and anyone she met with words of encouragement, help and guidance.

“The time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. A crown awaits.”

Lynda was preceded in death by her father, Bill.

She is survived by her mother, Dee; her husband of 46 years, Bert; their son, David (Melissa) and their daughter, Dena (Aaron); three grandchildren, Logan, Ryleigh and Bryce; and her brother, Bill (Lynn) and their children, Trey and Megan.

A memorial service will be held at the Williamsburg Community Chapel on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 2pm.
