James C. Lewis Sr.

James Lewis, Sr., age 88, passed away on February 21, 2025. James was born in Collinsville, Mississippi to Sylvester Lewis, Sr and Lillian Lewis. James married Fannie Lewis on May 7, 1960. He loved to go fishing, as well as watching sports, especially basketball (Go Cavs!!)

He was preceded in death by Fannie Lewis (Spouse), Sylvester Lewis, Sr (Father), Lillian Lewis (Mother), Ellis Lewis (Brother), Albert Lewis (Brother), Theodore Lewis (Brother), JD Lewis (Brother), Clifton Lewis (Brother), Aaron Lewis (Brother), Henry Lewis (Brother), Lula Mae McDonald (Sister), Sylvester Lewis, Jr (Brother), Rosie Lee Avery (Sister), Lela Mae Clark (Sister).

James is survived by daughter Judy Lewis-Okoroafor; daughter Ciera Lewis; daughter Jada Lewis; son James Charles Lewis, Jr; son Johannson Lewis; sister Naomi Harris; sister Charlene Scott; son-in-law Patrick Okoroafor; daughter-in-law Angela Lewis; grandson Travontee (Trey) Wallace; grandson Brandon Wallace; grandson Andrew Lewis; granddaughter Brionna Lewis; granddaughter Jamie Lewis; grandson Isiah Lewis; grandson Christopher Lewis; grandson Jerry McCoy; step-grandson Patrick Okoroafor Jr; step-grandson Lotanna Okoroafor; step-granddaughter Sylvia Okoroafor(Ezem; step-granddaughter Sophia Okoroafor.
