Felicia Faye Ferguson
- March 4, 2025

Felicia Faye Ferguson was born on March 9th 1994 in Canton, Ohio. She was the second born of five children to Benjamin and Rhonda Ferguson. Felicia along with her siblings grew up in church and everywhere their parents went, they were always in tow. She was a part of the first graduating class from Akron Early College High School where she earned her high school diploma and associate’s degree simultaneously. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from The University of Akron.
Felicia grew up singing in the church with her family and this love of music sparked her involvement with talent shows and theatre productions. She was best known for singing “At Last” by Etta James and playing Motormouth Maybelle in the musical production “Hairspray”. The love and interest of musical theatre was shared with her brother Brandon which inspired him to pursue involvement in it as well. Everyone who knew Felicia knew her favorite artist was Beyonce, who was a musical inspiration to her. She shared this mutual admiration with her sister Kristen.
Felicia’s working career started and ended with Akron Public Schools where she worked as a school and administrative secretary.
Felicia was smart and hardworking like her mother. She picked up crocheting like her Aunt “Boobie”, who she’s seen crochet all her life. She liked to kick back and watch reality shows with her sister Reva and close cousin Kim. Felicia was grateful to have been made an aunt by her sister Jacquelyn with her first nephew. Felicia was a free spirit who treated everyone as a human first. She could be a goofball, but also a mediator. She could be the life of the party, but was no-nonsense. She cared for and loved her family.
Felicia Faye Ferguson crossed into eternity on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 after a brief illness.
She is preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Mother & Supt. Henry Wade, Sr., Earnestine Ferguson, Phyllis Jackson and most recently her grandfather, James Jackson. She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved parents Benjamin & Rhonda Ferguson, Sisters Kristen (DeRay) Carter, Jacquelyn (Chris) Cole-Partee, Reva Ferguson and brother, Brandon (Tiera) Ferguson.
