Old Bridge, NJ – Yvonne Figueroa, 66, passed away on August 20, 2025, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge, just five days after her mother, Hilda died. Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late William Crespo and Hilda E. Pretell, Yvonne resided in Brooklyn most of her life, until 2017, when she and her husband Jose moved to Old Bridge to be closer to family.
Yvonne spent every moment she could with her family, caring for them as a homemaker. She wore many hats throughout her life; especially a wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver, cook, friend and most importantly a loving supporter of her entire family.
A devout catholic, Yvonne was deeply connected and strongly rooted with her faith. She was very spiritual, prayed the rosary and spoke with God every day.
Yvonne spent her days enjoying movies, as she called “pictures” and watching shows. She enjoyed playing games on her phone and loved to share her family memories through Facebook, phone calls, receiving photos and facetiming with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Yvonne spent most special occasions and holidays visiting her son’s grave with her family.
Predeceased by her son Fabian, Yvonne leaves behind her loving family; husband Jose Rodriguez, daughters; Anita Peralta and her husband Abel of Ft. Myers, FL and Angelina Vargas and her husband Arnando of Old Bridge, grandchildren; AJ (Jess,) Celly (Donald,) Ysa, Ari and Bella and her great-grandchildren; Divina, Katalina, EJ and Noah and those on the way. She will be missed deeply by her brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family.
A visitation will be held at Old Bridge Funeral Home, 2350 Route 516, Old Bridge, NJ 08857 on Monday, August 25, 2025 from 1pm until 3pm and 6pm until 8pm. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 9am until 930am followed by burial at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.
