Youth Theatre Carson City to hold Auditions for Disney’s Frozen, Jr.
Carson City, NV – August 12, 2025 – Youth Theatre Carson City is thrilled to announce auditions for Disney’s Frozen, Jr., a 60-minute adaptation of the hit Broadway musical based on the modern classic Disney film!
Auditions will be held August 23, 2025 9 a.m. in the Bob Boldrick Theatre at the Carson City Community Center. The show will run eight performances, January 16-25, 2026 also in the Bob Boldrick Theatre at the Carson City Community Center.
In the beautiful kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she’s desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home – with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf. Full of magic, humor, and a stunning musical score, Frozen, Jr. is a powerful tale of sisterhood, acceptance, and finding the real meaning of true love.
We are looking for actors, singers, and dancers grades K-12, who will be cast to play all of the beloved Frozen, Jr. characters including the princesses Anna and Elsa at three different ages; Kristoff the ice harvester, his trusty reindeer Sven, and the unflappable Olaf; the charming yet devious Prince Hans; and a host of colorful characters who help bring the world of Arendelle to life.
Auditions for Disney’s Frozen, Jr. will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 9am in the Bob Boldrick Theatre at the Carson City Community Center with callbacks at 1pm the same day. Auditions are open to all youth grades K-12. Audition information and materials can be found on our website, www.youththeatrecarsoncity.com. Early and video auditions available by request for those who cannot attend the open call on August 23.
