Willis “Bill” Miller, Jr.
Willis E. “Bill” Miller, Jr., 79 of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Montrose VA Hospital in Montrose, NY. He was born on January 19, 1946, the son of Willis E. Miller, Sr. and Helen Kane.
Bill honorably served his Country as a Tunnel Rat in the United States Army from 1969-1971 during the Vietnam War. He worked as a mailman for the United States Postal Service in Poughkeepsie for 30 years.
Bill is survived by his son David Klaproth of Poughkeepsie, NY. He was predeceased by his wife Maryann in 2019.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 from 11AM-12:30PM at the Wm. G. Miller & Son FH, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Graveside service with Military Honors will be at 1PM at Calvary Cemetery, 62 Lagrange Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Burial will be in the family plot.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bill’s name to the Dutchess County SPCA.
