William Moore, Jr.

William Thomas Moore Jr., known affectionately as Pastor Tom Moore, was called to his heavenly home on November 15, 2025. Born in Mineral Wells, Texas, on April 15, 1963, to William and LaVada Moore, Pastor Tom spent the majority of his life spreading the gospel and serving his community in Granbury, Texas. He was a beacon of faith and love, ministering at five different churches throughout his life and serving as a Chaplain for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for nearly a decade.

William carried in his heart a passion for serving others, a love for missions, and an enduring affection for Harley Davidson. Yet, his greatest joy was found in the company of his grandchildren. To them, he was known as “Pop,” a title he wore with immense pride. The simple pleasures of shuffling cards or shaking dominoes were enough to bring a bright smile to his face.

William leaves behind a rich legacy of love, faith, and dedication. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Moore; his sons, Alexander (Sara) Moore, William Moore III, and Matthew (Brook) Moore; his sister, Anna (Kyle) West; his uncles, Paul Simms and James (Hazel) Moore; his father-in-law and friend, Kenneth Nuss; and his cherished grandchildren, Carly, Dawson, Caroline, William, Cadence, Susan, Barrett, Logan, Cooper, and Kaia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, LaVada and William Moore Sr., and his wife of 36 years, Susan Leanne Moore.
