William Harris

William Henry Harris was born March 25th, 1945, in Richmond, Virginia to his parents, Howard, Sr. and Jenette M. Harris. William went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 13th, 2025.

William Harris dropped out of the Richmond Public School System to join the US Army, where he served for 3 years and 2 months; while in the military William received an expeditionary medal and was awarded the achievement of Marksman. After the military William, better known as “Bill” or “Slick”, moved to Connecticut and eventually worked in sanitation until retiring after 23 plus years.

William was preceded in death by his parents Howard, Sr. and Jenette M. Harris, and his brothers: Cornelius “Jerry”, Thomas and Nathaniel Harris.

Those left to cherish his memories are his devoted wife, Claudia; children, Cornelius J. Harris (LaToya) Harris and George H. Harris; grandchildren: Cerenity Harris, Jakhi Tyndal, Cayden Harris, and Abel Waugh; siblings, Howard, Jr. (Ann) and Zenovia (Preston); devoted sister-in-law, Laverne Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
