William Dickerson

William Ray “Billy” Dickerson, age 51, of Columbus and formerly of Mount Vernon passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Ohio State University East Hospital.

He was born on August 22, 1973, in Mount Vernon to Ralph Dickerson and Brenda Newton.

William is survived by his mother Brenda Newton; his sister Jeanette (Nick Ames) Nichols; his nephew Brenden Nichols; and his nieces Grace Nichols and Piper Ames.

William was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home from 4-5pm. The funeral service will follow, beginning at 5pm, with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating.
