Vivian Faraci

Vivian Faraci

Vivian was born in Chicago on August 12, 1936. She passed away on May 28, 2025.

She was the devoted and loving daughter of the late Catherine and Dominick Faraci. Beloved sister of Victor (the late Dianne) Faraci and the late Peter (Pat) Faraci. Cherished Aunt of Lisa Faraci (Jeff Richards), David Faraci, Traci (Rick) DeMichele, Kelli Faraci, and Peter Faraci. Fond Great Aunt to Luca, Leo, Joey, Natalie, Jimmy, and Isabella, and treasured by many cousins and lifelong friends. Vivian shared a special bond with her friend for many years, Peter Biskis, and the sister she never had, her cousin, Rosanne Faraci.

Vivian was christened at St Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Chicago’s Little Sicily neighborhood, where she spent her early years. She graduated from Hawthorne Elementary School and St Scholastica High School. In her younger years, she was a free spirit who enjoyed dancing and vacationing with family and friends.

Vivian was the proud owner of Kitty’s Boutique in Chicago, where she was well known and loved by her customers and those in the community. She was also a civilian employee of the Chicago Police Department, 20th district, having spent many years as a crossing guard, where she enjoyed interacting with the neighborhood children. She was an active member of St Hilary Church for many years.

Above all, Vivian was a life-long dog mom, having rescued and cared for many stray dogs over the years. She was especially devoted to Cruiser, who she found “cruising” the neighborhood 15 or so years ago, and with whom she was inseparable.

Vivian will be remembered for her warm smile and generous spirit and will forever be in all of our hearts.
