With a tremendous amount of balance and skill, law enforcement’s finest motor officers from around Northern Nevada are wrapping up the two-day High Sierra Motor Officer Training Challenge happening in downtown Carson City.

Motor officers are training, riding, and discussing riding techniques with various motor instructors. This event is designed to help motor officers enhance their riding skills through challenging skill patterns, camaraderie and friendly competition.

Saturday’s main event began at 8 a.m. and wraps up around 5 p.m. All are encouraged to watch as motor officers and civilian riders compete against each other through a timed course. There’s a slow ride competition, a tethered team event (two motorcycles tied together), 4-rider team event, and a “Last Man Standing” event.

The best place to watch is from the Capitol grounds and at McFadden Plaza.
