Vicki Yvonne Johnson, 89
Vickie Yvonne Johnson, 89 of Ashland passed away from this life on Tuesday morning, May 20, 2025 in the Kington of Ashland.
She was born on August 23, 1935 in Ava, Ohio the daughter of the late C. Victor and Eloise L. (nee Shattuck) Moore.
Vicki is a graduate of Savannah High School. She married the love of her life, Ronald C. Johnson on July 12, 1953.
Vicki retired in 1990 from Huntington National Bank where she was a teller and a customer service representative for many years. She was previously employed at Moore’s Grocery store in Savannah, Helbert & Shenberger Shoe Store and J.C. Penny in Ashland.
She was a devoted member of Christ United Methodist Church where she was a parish visitor, hospitality minister, a Stephen Minister, and a member of the New Beginnings Sunday School Class, along with heading the bereavement committee for countless years.
Vicki was very proud of her two sons and their many accomplishments throughout their lives who survive, Eric M. Johnson of Ashland and Gene (Sara) Johnson of Howard; one granddaughter, Lauren Johnson of Howard; a great grandson, Jameson; and one brother, Reverend Roger (Ellen) Moore of Ashland.
In addition to her parents, Vicki is preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Ron who passed away on December 14, 2021.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Snyder and Reverend Roger Moore presiding. Interment will follow in the Ashland Cemetery. A meal and time of fellowship will be in the Legacy Room after the services of committal. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1021 Dauch Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
