Vandalism at Virginia City cemetery investigated; sheriff asks for public’s help identifying suspects
During the late evening hours of Friday, July 25, 2025, multiple headstones and graves were vandalized at the Silver Terrace Cemetery in Virginia City.
The Storey County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in identifying the suspects responsible.
A $3,000 reward is being offered for positive identification for those responsible. All tips can be made by calling 775-847-0959 and referring to case 25-950.
