Trumon Lee Yant, 88, beloved father and grandfather, passed away on Thursday morning, August 7, 2025, in Granbury surrounded by loved ones
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the Wiley Funeral Home, 400 Highway 377 East, in Granbury. Funeral services celebrating Trumon’s life be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Tolar Cemetery.
Trumon was born on August 14, 1936, in Kosoma, Oklahoma, to the late Wilfred (Buck) and Willie Yant. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1959 until 1961 where he achieved the rank of an E-5 Sergeant. On October 9, 1961, Trumon married the love of his life, Alene Keeter and together had two daughters, Vicki and Leann. He enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting and fishing. Trumon was a true craftsman and owned his own trim crew for several years. There was not anything he couldn’t build or fix. Most of all, Trumon will be remembered for the loving devotion he had for his family and his grandchildren.
Trumon is survived by his two daughters, Vicki and husband Todd Shipman and Leann and husband Neal Brockman; grandchildren, Colten Bison and wife Katherine, David Brockman and wife Sydney and Brayden Brockman; and by his great-grandchildren, Miller and Lucy.
In addition to his parents, Trumon was preceded in death by his precious wife Alene Yant in 2020.
