Troy Benschoter

Troy Alan Benschoter passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 48. Born on July 25, 1976 in Fairmont, Minnesota, Troy lived a robust life spanning multiple states, countries, and even continents. However, no place felt more like home to him than San Francisco and Palm Springs, California.

A proud veteran, Troy served with honor in the United States Air Force during Desert Storm and was deployed to Iraq. After his military service, Troy pursued his academic passions, studying chemistry and chemical engineering. However, he often joked that he “joined the dark side” when he ultimately found his calling in the world of banking.

Troy had a sharp wit, a generous heart, and a steeled determination. He loved deeply and was deeply loved in return.

He is survived by his husband, Dennis Benschoter; his father, Neil Benschoter; his half- sister, Trisha Murphy; and his half-brother, Brian Benschoter. His memory will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.
