Toolsiedai Persad

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Toolsiedai Persad, lovingly known as Betty, of Crabwood Creek, Guyana. Born on September 2, 1946, she entered eternal rest on September 6, 2025, at the age of 79. She was the beloved daughter of the late Jaranamie (Lelo) Roopraman and Ramayssar Roopraman, and the devoted wife of the late Kawal Persaud.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Buddy, Pam, Oma, Mack, Jetin, Darmesh, and Angela.

She was the cherished grandmother of Tubby, Trevor, Ruth, Rebecca, Sarah, Dian, David, Tommy, Kevin, Mark, Verishka, Shalini, Melanie, Stephanie, Amanda, Michael, Kumar, Bryan, and Ryan, and the proud great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her in-laws: the late Denis, Ronald, Indira, Indi, Suzie, and Ramkumar; her siblings: Sonn, Sisto, Sarita, Broda, Ort, the late Anand, and the late Vidya; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly.
