Tonya McIntosh

Tonya Morgan McIntosh, age 53, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, August 18, 2025, at her home. Tonya was born on June 27, 1972, to the late Harley Morgan and Dorothy McPeters Morgan. In addition to her parents, Tonya is preceded in death by her two brothers, Rodney and Ronald Morgan.

Tonya was a woman who truly loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith was a big part of who she was, and she did her best to live each day in a way that reflected God’s love and grace. She was a proud member of Ridge Way Free Will Baptist Church, where she found real joy in worshiping, spending time with her church family, and helping others whenever she could.

One of Tonya’s favorite ways to express her love and creativity was by making handcrafted bracelets for her close friends and family. Each one was made with care, reflecting her thoughtful nature and deep affection for those around her. It was her way of sharing a piece of herself, simple, personal, and full of meaning.

Tonya was the kind of friend everyone hopes to have. She was unwaveringly loyal, endlessly compassionate, and always went out of her way to let people know how much they meant to her. Whether through a kind word, a thoughtful gift, or a quiet gesture of support, she made sure no one in her life ever felt unloved or forgotten. Her generosity was one of her most defining traits. Tonya had a heart that gave more than it ever asked for in return. She found joy in lifting others up, often putting their needs before her own. She was selfless in the truest sense of the word.

Tonya also had a deep love for animals, especially her cats, who brought her comfort and companionship. Among them, her cat Boo Boo held a special place in her heart. To Tonya, Boo Boo wasn’t just a pet; he was like a child to her, and their bond was one of true devotion. Her life was a beautiful blend of faith, kindness, and love, quiet yet powerful, humble yet impactful. Tonya’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the love she gave, and the joy she left behind.

Those left to cherish Tonya’s memory are her loving and devoted husband of thirty-nine years, Eric McIntosh, of Marion; her best friend of thirty-one years, Joy Arrowood Wallace, of Marion; her cherished friend of many years, Rita Hughes, of Marion;  and her dear friends, Jennifer Arrowood and Gina Holland, both of Marion.

In keeping with Tonya’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
