Thomas Regan

Thomas Keith Regan, born July 9, 1949, passed away on May 12, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated public service in Crowley, Louisiana. The eldest child of Bernard and Violet Regan, Tom was a devoted husband to Suzanne Ardoin Regan for over 50 years. Together, they raised four children: Michelle Regan Judice (Marc Judice), Timothy Regan (Allison Hickey Regan), Ashley Regan Washington (Robert Washington), and Lindsay Regan Hopkins (Blake Hopkins). He was a proud grandfather to Ben, Evelyn, Will, and Eloise.

Tom was a lifelong LSU Tiger fan who graduated from LSU Law School in 1973. After graduation, he clerked for Judge Cleveland Fruge at the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal. He then returned to Crowley, where he practiced law for 50 years.

Tom dedicated his life to serving the City of Crowley with unwavering commitment, representing Crowley and neighboring municipalities as City Attorney for several decades. Beyond his legal career, he was an active member of the Crowley Lions Club and held the role of Treasurer for the Democratic State Central Committee for many years. Throughout his life, Tom’s passion for politics and helping others was evident, leaving a lasting impact on his community.

The family extends special thanks to Paula Taylor, Kim Francis, and Dr. Robert Aertker, MD, for their companionship, care, and comfort during his final days.

Visitation will be at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. where a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 15. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley, Louisiana on Friday, May 16 at 10 a.m. followed by Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Tom’s honor or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
