Thomas Charles Davis, 82, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away in the early morning of July 2, 2025. Thomas was born on June 28, 1943 in Rochester, NY. He was a graduate of Irondequoit High School in Rochester and served in the Army Reserves for six years. He worked for Eastman Kodak Company for 28 years before moving to Ventnor, NJ. He enjoyed working in security at Harrah’s Casino and Resort in Atlantic City and later at The Marriott Rochester Airport. The last 20 years of his life were spent in Scottsdale, AZ.
He had a lifelong interest in cars, particularly vintage corvettes. He worked in an auto parts shop at a young age which inspired his love of cars. He often spoke of his favorite as being a 1968 blue corvette. By those who knew him, he had a unique and dry sense of humor as well as a kind heart. He loved old movies, especially westerns or those with Clint Eastwood or Paul Newman. When asked about the happiest times of his life, he spoke most lovingly of his wife of 57 years and three girls.
He is survived and greatly missed by his beloved wife, Mary Ellen, and his three daughters: Tara Ann Davis, Dena Noel Carlson (husband Benjamin Carlson), and Leah Lynn Hughes (husband Christopher Hughes); and four grandchildren: Maia Ann (25), Hailee Jo (25), Lila Belle (22) and Sydney Rae (15). Thomas is preceded in death by his parents Ernest Davis and Dorothy Davis.
