Thomas Wesley Chapman (1937-2025)

Wes Chapman, 88, of Evart, Michigan and Punta Gorda, Florida was taken from his

family and loved ones on June 22, 2025.

Wes was born on February 25, 1937 in Belfry, Kentucky to Sidney and Belva (Dorton)

Chapman. It was in Belfry that Wes met his soulmate and life-long love Donna

Chapman. After high school, they married and began their life together. Wes and

Donna eventually moved to Michigan where they had three girls-Mollie, Cynthia, and

Pamela. He enjoyed a lifelong relationship with all of them, continuing to support, love

and spend time together. After retirement, Donna and Wes built a home on the

Muskegon River, in Evart, Michigan where they enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending

time on the river. They enjoyed winters in Florida where they golfed and spent time with

family and friends. This spring, Donna and Wes celebrated their 68th wedding

anniversary on May 11th .

Wes was an active, supportive, and loving Grandpa and Pop-pop to his grandchildren,

Emily, Natalie, Rhianon, and Thomas. He could often be found visiting, playing, or

supporting them at their various activities. His great grandchildren see him as the best

Pop-pop and loved coming “at the north” to visit and take tractor rides with him.

Wes worked tirelessly to provide for his family and often shared stories of learning,

success, and growth in his career. He worked for Stahl Manufacturing as a tool and die

designer where he was proud to be their go to problem solver. He spent the next 20

years of his career with Ford Motor Company where he worked as tool and die maker.

Wes was an intelligent man, that worked hard at his career.

Wes was preceded in death by his parents Belva and Sidney Chapman; granddaughter,

Rhianon Todoroff; grandson, Thomas Todoroff; and son-in law, Robert Testani. He is

survived by his wife Donna Chapman; his children Mollie Testani, Cynthia Chapman,

and Pamela Todoroff(Chapman); his grandchildren Emily Testani (Tim Simpson) and

Natalie Bewak; and great grand children Ty Bewak, Niko Quigley, Colette Quigley, Leo

Quigley, and Harper Quigley. Throughout his life he remained close with his five

brothers and five sisters, and many nieces and nephews; as well as many dear lifelong

friends at the Evart Moose Lodge, Spring Valley Golf Course and their Florida

Community.

The passing of Wes-husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa- has broken many

hearts. We are all lucky to have had time with him and his impact and love will be

everlasting. Cremation and care have been entrusted to Corey Funeral Home.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held in his honor on July 19 at

2:00 PM at the Evart Moose Lodge.
