Tenie Yvonne Richardson, a beacon of love and selflessness, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, in Corona, California, at the age of 88. Born on December 30, 1936, in Riverside, California, to Elwood Sr. and Virginia Todd, Tenie’s life was a testament to her gentle spirit and unwavering faith. Tenie was the heart of her family, a role she cherished deeply. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Richardson; her dear children, Dennis Richardson, Janet Stevens, and Susan Castro; her parents; her sister, Margaret Carter; and her brother, Loran Todd. She is survived by her brother, Elwood Jr. (Sonny) Todd, and her loving daughters, Kimberly Larkins and Victoria Richardson. Tenie’s legacy continues through her adored grandchildren: Genevieve Clark, Davela Richardson, Aimee D’Attile, Alvin Larkins, George Stevens, Rebecca Reibstein, Amanda Larkins, Johnathan Bley, Thomas Dunkel, and Kelly Fanning, as well as her many cherished great-grandchildren. Tenie’s faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She loved Jesus fiercely and faithfully, dedicating time each day to read her Bible and pray. Her devotion was a guiding light to all who knew her, and she often shared the wisdom she gained from her unwavering spiritual journey. Her zest for life was evident in the joy she found in simple pleasures. Tenie was an avid card player, delighting in the laughter a of family poker game. She was a master of dominoes, a pastime she passed down to her children and grandchildren with patience and glee. Her travels around the world were not just for sightseeing but also for visiting far off family. Tenie’s hands were rarely still, as she enjoyed occasional crafting, and her handmade hangers are treasured by many. As the family historian, she captured and recounted tales of the past, ensuring that the rich family history would be preserved. Her stories, often infused with her witty sense of humor, were a source of joy and entertainment at family gatherings. Her love was boundless, and she gave of herself selflessly. Tenie’s gentle demeanor was a comforting presence to all who were fortunate enough to be in her life. She nurtured, supported, and guided her family with an unwavering commitment that will be deeply missed. Tenie Yvonne Richardson’s life was a beautiful example of love in action. Her memory will be treasured, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who were touched by her kindness and warmth. As we say farewell to this remarkable woman, we take solace in the knowledge that her legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
