Tamela “Tammy” J. Daniels, 64, of Spring Brook Township died Wednesday morning at Geisinger CMC in Scranton following an illness. Her companion of 26 years is Kenneth A. Hedrick.
Born November 12, 1960 in Elkins, WV, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Mary (Schietlin) Daniels. Tammy was a life member of the John J. Michaels VFW Post 5207 Auxiliary in Covington Twp. and a member of the American Legion Post Auxiliary of Moscow.
Tammy was known for her wonderful sense of humor; and her engaging personality. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Surviving is her daughter Mary F. Kizer of Archbald; her grandchildren: Rheannon Kizer and companion Mason Birtell, Andrew “AJ” Boyle, Gage Newell, and Brooke Newell; her siblings: Robert Daniels and wife Ann, Alvin “Skip” Daniels,and wife Roxanne, Dennis Daniels, Vicky Curnoles, and Carolyn “Sue” Ratajczak and husband Anthony; her daughter-In-law: Krystal Newell; sister-In-law Amy Daniels; and great-grandson: Mason H. Birtell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tammy was preceded in death by her son, Thomas V. Newell Jr. in 2012; and her brother, Thurman James Daniels in 2024;
and her brother-In-law, Bruce Curnoles.
A celebration of Tammy’s life will be conducted in the near future in the John J. Michaels 5207 VFW Post, 257 Daleville Highway, Covington Twp., PA. 18444
