Susan Moffitt Dunlop, age 84, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
Sue was born in New Orleans in 1941 to Henry and Frances Moffitt. Sue attended LSU until she met the love of her life, Spike Dunlop, on a blind date. The two were married in 1961. After having children, Sue pursued a degree to become a nurse, only to be cut short by a move to London, England. She later started her own Interior Design business while they lived in Houston, Texas.
The only thing Sue loved more than her family and friends was learning, studying, and leading Bible studies and teaching others about the amazing saving grace of her Savior, Jesus Christ! Sue was a long-time active member of the First Baptist Church of De Queen, AR. Sue was smart, kind, and loving. She was generous with her heart and time. Sue was a blessing to all who knew her.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Frances Moffitt of New Orleans, Louisiana, and by her son, Michael Dunlop of De Queen, AR.
Sue is survived by her husband, James (Spike) Dunlop of De Queen, AR; her daughter, Lisa and Andy Solomon of Bixby, OK; her son, Mark Dunlop of Broken Arrow, OK; her grandchildren, Mitchell and Taylor Solomon of Jenks, OK, Ryan Solomon of Bixby, OK, Cooper Dunlop of Broken Arrow, OK, Preston Solomon of Bixby, OK, Jenna Dunlop of Broken Arrow, OK, Jeffrey Perron of Mena, AR, Jonathon and Becca Perron of Gallipolis, OH; her great grandchildren, Jaxxon Perron of Gallipolis, OH, Malaki Perron of Gallipolis, OH, Skyla Solomon of Jenks, OK; and her sister, Mary and Dr. David Zamierowski of Kansas City, KS.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dunlop will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with Bro. Josh Herweck officiating. Burial will follow at Redmen Cemetery in De Queen, Arkansas.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the funeral home.
