Steven D. Deike, age 70, of Faribault, died on Sunday, July 6, 2025, peacefully in his sleep at home.

Memorial services will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Faribault on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Kira Anderson, officiating. Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at Boldt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Faribault on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and for one hour prior at the church on Thursday.

Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Faribault.

Steven Donald, son of Donald and Gladys (Mechura) Deike, was born on May 2,1955, in Fort Riley, Kansas. He graduated from the Faribault High School in 1973. Following graduation, Steve worked at Malt-O-Meal for many years. Steve married Roxie Tatge on June 11,1977. Together they raised four children, Jimmy, Kari, Kelly, and Jason.

Steve was a Minnesota Twins supporter. He stayed active by playing slow pitch softball for over forty years. In his spare time, Steve loved to camp, hunt, fish, and to be outdoors. Family was incredibly important to Steve, especially his grandkids. He took pride in watching his grandkids play sports. Some of Steve’s favorite treats include eating a bucket of ice cream, popcorn, A & W root beer, and Roxie’s pumpkin pie.

Steve is survived by his wife, Roxie Deike of Faribault; children, Jimmy (Kristy) Deike and their children, Mara and Alena of Maple Grove, Kari (Brandon) Pofahl and their children, Deirdre, Cillian and Fiona of Westbrook, ME, Kelly (Mark) Westphal and their children Olive and Linden of Cloquet, Jason (Melissa) Deike and their children Daxton and Emma of Savage; sisters, Barb Deike, Bev Deike, both of Faribault; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Diane Donkers Olson, Audrey Temple, Luverne (Judy) Tatge,  Barb (Jim) Zahn, Mike (Debbie) Tatge, Bruce (Sue) Tatge, Marvin (Mary) Tatge, Becky (Doug) Tatge, Randy (Leann) Tatge; many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Gladys Deike; in-laws, Earl and Mildred Tatge; brother and sister-law, Carol and Dave Tousignant; brothers-in-law, Steve Temple, Jerry Olson, Dennis Tousignant, Ronnie Tatge, Cy Donkers; niece and nephew, Paul and Amy Zahn; grandparents, Ruth Mechura, Melvin and Agnes Deike; other loved relatives.
