Stephanie A. Pemberton, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 31, 2025, at her home in New Lisbon, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Rudolph and Daphne (Guynn) Hansen and was born on August 22, 1965, in Illinois.

Stephanie grew up in Illinois where she graduated from Elk Grove High School. Her academic journey continued as she pursued an accounting degree in college for couple of years. Her education laid the foundation for a successful career that included 14 years of dedicated service at Ft. McCoy, where she worked as a night auditor and a morning cook. Most recently, she was employed at Toro in Tomah.

Family was the cornerstone of Stephanie’s life. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Pemberton Sr., of New Lisbon, and her beloved children, Crystal (Jerry) Pemberton and her children Hunter Pemberton and Sapphire Scholze of Oxford, James Pemberton Jr of New Lisbon, Stephanie (Lance) Pemberton and their children Adeline, Leah, Audrey, and Maci of Camp Douglas, and William (Denea) Pemberton of Tomah. Her warmth and guidance will also be deeply missed by her sisters, Virginia Hansen of Pennsylvania and Chris Carollo of Illinois, her nephew Larry Millien of Mauston, and her cousin Dennis Fahy of Illinois. Stephanie’s legacy of love and nurturing continues through her family, who were her pride and joy.

An avid movie lover, Stephanie had an impressive collection of VHS and DVDs, and she cherished the moments spent in the movie theater and at home with her children. She loved her Stephen King and Dean Koontz books. She was a very active reader. Her interests extended to the realm of politics, where she engaged with enthusiasm and insight. Above all, Stephanie was devoted to her role as a mom and wife, finding her greatest happiness in the company of her family. Her home was a haven of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.

Stephanie will be remembered as a loving and compassionate soul, whose generosity knew no bounds. Her presence brought light and comfort to all who knew her. She approached life with a kind heart and an open mind, leaving a lasting impact on her community and all the lives she touched.
