Mary Theresa Davis
Of Walworth
Mary Davis was born October 9, 1946 in Chicago to Aloysius and Stephanie (Kopera) Zyzak. She passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Aurora Medical Center Burlington.
Mary was loved by all who met her and cherished by those who were lucky enough to know her. She loved to bake, especially her kolaczkis and caramel, make crafts, tend to her garden, and most importantly care for others. After she raised her children, she helped to raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary introduced them to all of her favorite past-times in “Grammy School,” and taught them all she could before going into their first year of school. Her grandchildren have fond memories of going to Six Flags and swimming in their pool. She was a long-standing member of Eastern Star and Stateline Grange, as well as being dedicated to her job as an election judge.
Mary is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas Lamar Davis, whom she married on May 15, 1965 in Glenview, Illinois; her children Diana Davis, Tracy (Steve) Highley, and Tom Davis, II; grandchildren Cory (Katherine) Davis, Paige (Riley) Hubbard, Tom Davis, III, Rebecca Highley, and Katelyn Highley; great grandchildren Jaiden Henson, Tait Davis, and Zeek Davis; sister Joanne Wagner; brothers John (Jeanette) Zyzak and Alexander (Betty) Zyzak; sisters-in-law Sylvia Vedral and Frankie (Frank) Desmond; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Toynton’s Walworth Funeral Home, 328 Kenosha St., Walworth, WI from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.
