Sophia Llewellyn – Doerr

Passed away, after a brief battle with cancer, on August 7, 2025 at her home in Kitchener, ON at the age of 59.

Beloved wife of 20 years to Mike Doerr.
Cherished daughter of Roy and Annette Llewellyn.
Loving sister of Colin (Crystal), Ian (Linda), Dawn, Audrey Hill (Reuben).
Sister-in-law of Wayne (Fawn), Ronald, Donna Underwood (Rick), Nancy King (Michael), Suzanne Jabbour, Steven, Joanne Hill (Stephen), Kevin, and Mary Lou Dougherty.
Proud aunt of Tinisha, Akeen, Corbin, Arion, Adonis, Roman, Sean, Shane, Melissa, Nicole, Kalen, Samantha, Tamara, Anthony, Patrick, Kamryn, and Reese.
Great aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her nephew Isaiah.
Sophia will also be deeply missed by her extended family and friends.

Sophia was a vibrant, classy, and creative soul. She had a keen eye for design and home decor, effortlessly transforming spaces with her artistic touch. Whether it was through her love of crafting, quilting, knitting, or creating dolls, Sophia poured her heart into every detail.

Proud of her English heritage, Sophia carried a deep admiration for Princess Diana. She was equally passionate and intrigued with law.

Sophia and Mike’s weekly movie nights were a cherished tradition. They loved browsing the local video store for the perfect film. Popcorn was always a must.

Sophia was funny, spirited, and a joy to be around. Her laughter was contagious and presence uplifting. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those lucky enough to know her.

Cremation has taken place. Sophia’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00-8:00 PM, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. In keeping with Sophia’s wishes, there will be no formal service.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
