Shelby Henry
Shelby G. Henry, 68, loving husband of Patricia Henry for 48 years, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital. He was born on June 10, 1957, in Irvine, KY, to the late Elbridge and Dema Henry.
Shelby was a dedicated self-employed carpenter throughout his life, using his skill and craftsmanship to serve countless families in the community he loved. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and the love he had for his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Henry; four grandchildren, Jacob Birchfield, Andrew Conner, Katelyn Neal, and Hannah Gordon; and two great-grandchildren, Sutton Birchfield and Aubrey Hackworth, two sisters; Lena Samples and Sharon Murphy, one brother; Arthur Henry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Henry, one brother: Jimmy David Henry.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Home in Irvine, with Bro. Jerry Rose officiating. Burial will follow in the Alexander Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM on Wednesday at Lewis Funeral Home.
