SHARON COSTA

SHARON ANN COSTA, a lifelong resident of Yonkers NY, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

Sharon attended St. Casimir’s School, Emerson Middle School, Gorton High School, Elizabeth Seaton, Mercy College and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Empire State College as a paralegal. She worked at Himmelfarb & Sher Law firm for over 20 years.

Sharon was very family oriented and “strong minded”, passing down many family traditions to her children. She was very selfless, loving and caring to all she met. She loved spending time with family and friends, shopping, baking, gardening and the Beatles.

Sharon was daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Duchnowski) Costa. She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Christian), Janele, and Jason (Charlotte), her brothers, Craig and Keith (Marlene), sister, Donna, her grandchildren, Aaron, Marisa, Nathaniel and Bennett, nieces, Rachel and Angela, and grand-niece, Emma.

Memorial Visitation will take place on, Tuesday, February 4th, from 4PM to 8PM in DUCHYNSKI-CHERKO Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 5th, in St. Casimir’s Church, at 11AM. Interment follows in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
