Scott Christopher Roberts, 64, of Queensbury, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025, at his home, after a long battle with cancer and was surrounded by his family before going to be with his parents.
Scott was the son of the late Margaret (Cormie) Chatterton and the late Walter Chatterton. He was the loving father of Christopher (Beth) and Sabrina (Josh). Scott was also the grandfather of Autumn, Scarlett, Wyatt, Tucker and Ella Roberts along with Brooklyn Cutter. He was the beloved uncle of Victoria and Patrick. Scott is survived by his siblings, JoAnn, Robert and Pamela. He is also survived by his former companion of many years, Ellen Smith as well as his former wife, Karen Sutliff.
One of Scott’s greatest joys was communing with nature in the Adirondacks. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, camper and outdoorsman. Scott also enjoyed learning and reading about Adirondack history and he often enjoyed sharing his adventures with his family and friends.
Scott also had the unique talent of conveying his thoughts by utilizing the multiple meanings of just one word and one word only. Those that knew Scott best always marveled at his endless creativity with the word in question.
Per Scott’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Scott’s wish is to be cremated and his family will host a celebration of his life at a later date.
Scott’s family would like to thank the staff at High Peak’s Hospice for their wonderful care during Scott’s last days.
