Fuquay-Varina- Scott Allen Jarman (1963 — 2025) Scott Allen Jarman, 61, of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on October 12, 2025.
Born on October 27, 1963, in Kinston, North Carolina, Scott was the second son to James “Murray” Jarman and Shirley Fitzgerald Jarman. He later moved to Maury, North Carolina and graduated from Greene Central High School in 1981. Scott graduated from Western Carolina University in 1985, earned his Master of Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1994 as well as his MBA from Marist University in 2006, and had a long career as an engineer.
Scott married his college sweetheart, Susan Brenner Jarman, in 1981. In their 40 years of marriage they raised 3 daughters, Kristen, Molly, and Sara, and enjoyed a life full of adventures, love, and laughter. Scott was an avid NC State, Carolina Hurricanes, and Braves fan who shared his love of sports with his 3 girls and coached many soccer and basketball teams.
He was known by his loved ones as supportive, loving, loyal, humorous, and a Mr. Fix-it who was always there when you needed him. His daughters meant the world to him and he treasured his role as a grandparent, never failing to make everyone around him smile. His memory will live on in the heats of all of those who love him.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, James “Murray” Jarman, and mother, Shirley Fitzgerald Jarman Stroud, grandparents Sara Bray Fitzgerald, John B. Fitzgerald, Beulah Howard Jarman, and Romulous Talmage Jarman.
Scott is survived by his wife, Susan Brenner Jarman, daughters, Kristen Leigh Jarman, Molly Jarman Maggi (Juan), and Sara Elizabeth Jarman, his granddaughter, Eloise Isabella Maggi, his siblings, Neil Jarman (Dawn), Jennifer Fox (Joel), and Betsy Baker (Nathan), his 5 nieces and nephews, and step-father James Stroud.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Fuquay-Varina United Methodist Church 100 S. Judd Pkwy SE, Fuquay-Varina. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations to the V Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
