Sandra Medinger

SANDRA (“SANDY”) SARBER MEDINGER passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born on October 12, 1940, in Washington, D.C. to Ruth Jane (“Rufus”) (nee Mericle) and John Sarber. Sandy is survived by her children, Steven Anthony Medinger (Amy) and Kristin Medinger Brown (William); her grandchildren, Bradley Steven Medinger, Nicholas David Medinger, Rachel Brown Strobl (Grant), and Connor Breckenridge Brown; her sister, Pamela Sarber Drumheller (F. Davis); and nieces and nephews. Sandy was preceded in death by her son, Paul Douglas Medinger; and grandson, David Brown.

Sandy graduated from Hathaway Brown School and received a B.A. from Denison University and a Master’s in Library Science from Case Western Reserve University. Sandy shared her love for reading as a librarian for the Cuyahoga County Public Library System. Sandy loved her dogs and cats, hikes in the Metroparks, her gardens, yoga, and spending time with her family.
