Saamya Khanna

Saamya Kidwai Khanna, of Jersey City, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving parents on October 13, 2023. She was 13 years of age.

She fought leukemia like a warrior for nearly two years, but alas, is now in a better place smiling down on us from heaven.

A lively, fun-loving child, Saamya was known by her friends and family to be affectionate and funny with a keen interest in arts and fashion. She loved playing with her pets and wanted to work with an animal shelter someday. Seals were her favorite animal and her dream was to visit Tokkari Center in Japan to see them. Saamya loved her school HPMS, her friends and the life she built around her home.

Though her life was brief, her memory lives on in her friends and family.

Saamya is survived by her parents, Sana and Saatwik, her grandparents, Renu and Navneet Khanna, and Salma Sultan.

The funeral service will take place at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Ave., Jersey City on Wednesday, October 18th from 9:30-11:30 AM. Interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden.
