Ryan Bourque
LAFAYETTE ~ Ryan Christopher Bourque, age 59, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at his residence in Arnaudville.
Ryan was a man who loved the simple joys of life, Cajun music, fast cars, and time spent with family and friends. He had a deep passion for cars and drag racing, having been a racer himself. A talented mechanic, he especially enjoyed working on vintage cars, and his prized possession was his 1983 El Camino.
Sundays were often filled with the sounds of Cajun music, a reflection of his love for his culture and community. Ryan also cherished his furbaby, Pedo, his loyal old chihuahua who was always by his side.
He loved cooking outdoors and hosting gatherings, with Thanksgiving holding a special place in his heart for the traditions shared each year. More than anything, Ryan treasured time spent with his grandchildren, creating memories that will live on in their hearts forever.
Survivors include one daughter, Hali Bourque; one son, Seth Ryan Bourque; and five grandchildren, Christian Bourque, Kiley Bourque, Chloe Batiste, Cody Batiste, Jr., and Daniel Thomas.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Ann Bourque; and his parents, Curley Bourque and Dorthy Thibodeaux Bourque.
